Description
A bimetallic magnetic thermometer for stove casings to approximately monitor the optimal temperature and thus the burning process. Range 0-500°C (optimal 150-300°C).
Temperature below 120°C - Low Due to the low temperature, a large amount of soot and smoke is produced - the stove becomes what is known as "tarry." The stove and chimney become clogged with tar due to incomplete combustion caused by the low temperature.
Consequences: Glass becomes dirty, reduced fuel consumption - lower heat output.
Causes: Wet wood, insufficient air (suffocation of the fire), low chimney draft.
Temperature from 120 to 290°C The optimal temperature for economical and efficient heating. At this temperature, the stove is most effective, and the fuel burns through (double combustion - 1. fuel burns, and 2. gases burn (secondary)).
Temperature 290°C and above Too high a temperature - risk of damage to the stove and chimney - fire hazard due to ignition of soot in the chimney. This temperature may be reached for a short time during heating - it is not suitable for normal operation.
